Turnpoints vary in difficulty, with easier ones worth one point and more difficult ones worth two or more. To encourage a spirit of adventure, the event features night turnpoints, offering a bonus of five points for each night spent, as well as a new Bivouac Bonus with a social twist, rewarding bivouacs shared with another competitor.<\/p><p>Johannes Marburger distinguished himself with his strategic flight, securing him first place, followed by the daring manoeuvres of Charles de Beaufort and the calculated approach of Emlyn Revell-Nash.<\/p><p>Special prizes were awarded for the participants' spirit of adventure, perseverance and fair play, highlighting the inclusive and rewarding nature of the competition.<\/p><p>The Wanaka Hike &amp;
