review of the stodeus solar varios range for hike and fly by thermik magazine

The Stodeus range is in Thermik Magazin

In its December 2021 issue, Thermik Magazin has devoted a 4-page feature to the market for ultralight varios and GPS for walk&flight. Alongside the Syride, XC Tracer, Skybean and Skytraxx varios, Stodeus instruments are reviewed.

Here is the French translation of their opinion on Stodeus instruments :

Stodeus, based in Grenoble/France, can draw on 10 years' experience of developing minivarios. There is a choice of three models. What they all have in common is that they're small, light and don't need screens.
However, the differences are significant: the miniBip is a mini vario that beeps, simple as that. On the other hand, it weighs just 24 g, measures 57 x 35 x 14 mm and can be used for 200 hours without recharging. The BipBip PRO has the same design as the miniBip, but features a solar cell, can be configured in different ways and weighs just 26 grams. The GPSBip+is even more powerful: it weighs 35g and includes a GPS logger, a voice assistant and the ability to connect to a smartphone.

The winter break is coming to an end, and hiking flights are starting up again. Are you sure you haven't forgotten those 25 grams that will help you make the most of the first thermals? 😎
